MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COLON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT.
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 1953.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric
Lighting and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall, in said. City, Monday, September 21,
1953, at the hour of 7: 00 o' clock-P.M. ( CDST) . Councilman East-
man presiding with the • following members being present: Messrs.
Alkire, Baldwin, Kettelforder, Law; Marino, Salzarulo, Tracy and
Youngflesh. The following proceedings were had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the minutes
of the previous meeting were dispensed with.
Councilman Tracy moved that all bids received for leasing a part
of the ground at the new light plant site be rejected, seconded •
by Councilman Salzarulo and on voice vote was unanimously carried.
Councilman Tracy moved that the current for Christmas lights as
requested by the Richmond Retail Merchants Bureau, Inc. be donated
by the Light Plant as has been done in the past, seconded by-- Council- .
man Youngflesh and on voice vote- was unanimously carried.
Councilman Tracy moved that the request for street lighting in
the Traver' s Park Terrace Addition be further studied by the
General Manager as to what type and number needed before any
- action be taken by this body, This motion was seconded by Council-
man Marino and on voice vote was carried„
Claims in the amount of ' 262, 068. 95 were allowed. Of this amount
the following transfers- were made: The sum of II
1 100,000. 00 from Sinking- Fund to Cash Operating- Fund
K 25, 000. 00 from Cash Onera.ting Fund to Cash. Reserve Fund
a,
15, 000. 00 from Cash Operating Fund. to Sinking Fund Cash
20, 338, 77 from Cash Operating Fund to Depreciation Re- .
serve Fund. Cash.
There being no further business presented on- motion duly made,
seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned.
