MINUTES OF THE MEETING. OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT.
MONDAY, -JUNE 1, 1953.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Light-
ing and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall in said City, Monday, June 1, 1953, at the hour of
7: 00 o' clock. P.M. ( CDST) . Councilman Eastman presiding with the '
following members being present: Messrs. Alkire,' Baldwin, Kettel-
forder, Law, Marino, Salzarulo, Tracy and Youngflesh. The following
proceedings were had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the minutes of
the previous meeting were dispensed with.
Mr. Beck presented the analysis of the bids received on May 18, 1953
for Power Wiring and Lighting in connection with the current plant
• construction program. All bids received were in proper form. On
recommendation of Black and Veatch, Engineers, and concurred with
by Mr. Beck, Councilman Youngflesh moved that Gustav-Hirsh Organization, '
Columbus, Ohio, the lowest bidder, be awarded the contract in the sum
of $207, 400.00. This motion was seconded by Councilman Kettelforder
and on voice vote was unanimously carried.
Claims in the amount of .$80, 616. 22 were allowed.
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made, seconded
and carried, the meeting adjourned.
