MONDAY, MARCH 2, 1953. The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a commit- tee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council Chaibers in the City Hall in said City Monday, March 2, 1953, at the hour of 8: 30 o' clock A.M. (CST) , Councilman Eastman presiding with the following members being present. Messrs. Alkire, Baldwin, Kettelforder, Law, Marino, Salzarulo, Tracy and Youngflesh. The following business was had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed. with. Mr. Beck presented a petition that was sent from the Board of Works that the Natco wanted a street light at the intersection of South 6th and "Nu Streets. A committee composed of Councilman Alkire, Law and Tracy were appointed by the Chairman to make an investigation of this request and report their recommendations back to this Body. Mr. Beck presented the following tabulations on a new truck to replace #16 Trouble truck which is a 1947 model, 3/4 ton Chevrolet. CAB AND CHASSIS Kenneth E. Williams, Inc. Gilcrest (Dodge) List Price $ 1,885. 00 Federal Tax. 131. 00 4. 00 Allowance for #16 Truck `� 1'koo. 00 Net Difference .. $$ 1, 354. 00 Councilman Alkire moved, on recommendation of Mr. Beck, that the General Manager be authorized to purchase the International 1 Ton Truck at the above price quoted, seconded by Councilman Baldwin and on voice vote was unanimously carried. Mr. Beck presented the following quotations for a body for the above truck: GENERAL SERVICE BODY McCabe Powers, Net Price $600. 30 Parsons " $ 577.50 So. Side Equip. " " $$758.. 00 S. H.
