in The Cletk of Ulancil reported that all bills for the year ending April 93
10 30th 1928,against the Town were paid and that a balance of a2proximately
114 600.00 was on deposit iL the bank.
The question.of the delinquent taxes of Mr. E.B.Izlar was -gain brought
up and the Cle_k was instructed to issue executions and hold same for
the time being.
The ulerk was instrcuted to write to 1:r.George W.TiedemanmChairman of
the Uounty Commissioners,requesting him to administer the oath of office
to the incoming board on May 7th 1928.
There being no futther business Council adjourned subject to the call
of the Mayor.

Councilman- elect .William G.Logan being out of the city,the oath
was not administered to him.
The mayor thanked Mr Tiedeman for his interest in being present
and administering the oath of office to the Mayor and those Councilmen
who attended the meeting,and said that he felt that the Town had a
friend to whom it felt'it could call on.
ar.Tiedeman was excused and Council went into session.
The salary of Recorder for the ensuing / /orrfix d at , 600.00 per
annum,on motion of Mr Cann, se _:onded by Mr.Espy,and paused unanamously.
The salary of Chief of Police for the ensuing year was fixed at
> 1500.00 per annum,on motion of Mr.Cann,seconded by Mr.Horovitz,
and passed unanamously.
The salary of Clerk of Council and Ex- officio Treastror for the
ensuing year was fixed. .at -1) 2400.00,on motion of Mr.C.nn,seconded
by hr. .Espy,and passed unanamously.
The fee to be paid the Town Attorney for the enuing was fixed at
250.00,on motion of Mr.Cann,seconded by Mr.Espy,and. passed.unanamiously.
Mr. walthour made a motion that Heyman Horovitz be elected Recorder
of the mayors Court, seconded by Mr. Espy, the motion passed unanamously.
r4�r. Horovitz made a motion that Dennis Lysaught be elected Chief of
Police and Ex- officio Tax Collector,seconded by Mr. :spy,the moti -on
passed unanamously.
I,Ir. Horovitz made a motion that Henry M.Buckley be elected Clerk of
council and Ex- officio Treasurer,seconded by Mr. y " "dalthour,the motion
passed unanamously.
Mr. Horovitz made a motion that Frank P.Mclntyre be effected Town
Attorney,seconded by Mr. Walthour,the motion ,:gassed unanamously.'
M .Horovitz made a motion that Dr.Victor H.Bassett be elected Health
Officer for the ensuing year,seconded by Mr.Walthour,the motion
passed unanamously.

The matter of the high assessments on some of the property was
beought up and the opinion of Council was that some of the
assessments should be reduced.
