The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, indiana, met in regular session at the Office of said Board on :ed- nesday March 14th, 1^^8 at In O'clock A. !•, All the members of said Board being present, viz, !'essr's, Zeller, Davennort and Rosa, The following nroceedings were had, To -wit: - Bids were received for the construction of the improvem,:r.t provided for by Improvement Resolution number 40, consisting of the Grading and Graveling of South A Street, from South 21st, to South 83rd, str„et, and also for the construction of cement sidewalks and cenent curbs and gutters along both siCes thereof. The following are the amounts bid, and the names of the bidders. John H. A. Schneider, Bid, 44.09 per lineal foot for imnrove- ment complete. John F. Cronin, Bid, �5.'7 ner lineal foot for irrrovesent complete. Charles E. Henshaw, Bid,G.EO per lineal foot for improvement complete. Daniel G. Burkhardt, Bid, $4.60 per lineal foot for improvement complete. The Contract for said work was, on motion of Mr. Rosa, awarded to John H. A. Schneider, he being, the lowest bidder therefor. On Motion of Mir. Rose the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for the improvements nrovided for by improvement Resolutions numbered, 44, 45, 46, and 47. Improvement Resolution number 499 providing for the construction Of cement sidewalks on the North side of North C Street, from North 21st, street to North 2End, str,°et, Five (5) feet wide* was then taken upAnd after hearing all the persons who appeared in said matter, and being fully advised in the premises the Board decided that the benefit$ to property liable to be assdssed for said improvement, would equal or exceed the estimated costs of said improvement, as shown by the estimate made by the City Civil engineer, And thereupon, the original Resolution was confirmed, the same being confirmed withopt modification, All the members of the Board voting in favor of said confirmation. %The Notice prepared by the City Attorney, in the m.^.cter If t'pnd removal of obstructions prom West End, street, was approved, Police Denartment instructed to deliver same.
