- MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 , 1952.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
committee in charge of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant of
the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall, Monday, September 15, 1952, at the hour of
8:00 o ' clock P.M. (CST) . Councilman Alkire presiding with the following
members being present: Messrs. Baldwin, Kettelforder, Law, Marino, Sal-
zarulo, Tracy and Youngflesh. Councilman Eastman being absent. The
following business was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with.
The Committee recommended the request for a street light on North "C"
Street, between North 16th and 17th Streets be rejected. On motion made
m by Councilman Tracy, seconded by Councilman Kettelforder, the Committee
voted to reject said. installation. The one vote in favor of the install-
C: ? ation was cast by Councilman Salzarulo.
4 Mr. Beck gave a report on the coal situation as compiled by Mr. Mutchner,
Plant Supt. in the event of a coal strike. There is a 70 day supply of
coal now on hand and additional coal is being ordered to bring this up
to 80 days supply.
The committee allowed the claims in the sum of $148, 914. 36. Of this
,amount the following transfers were allowed: the sum of 9,$25,000.00 from
Cash Operating Fund to Cash Reserve Fund; the sum of ,$15, 000.00 from Cash
Operating Fund to Sinking Fund Cash; the sum of $22, 720. 93 from Cash
Operating Fund to Depreciation Reserve Fund Cash; the sum of $4, 260. 71 from
Depreciation Reserve Fund Cash to Cash Operating Fund.
IIThere being no further business presented on motion duly made, seconded
and carried, the meeting adjourned.
