A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT. MONDAY, JULY 21, 1952. The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a- commit- tee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City, Monday, July 21, 1.952, at the hour of 7: 30 o' clock P.M. II (CST) . Councilman Eastman presiding with the following members being present: Messrs. Alkire, Baldwin, I:ettelforder, Marino, Salzarulo, Tracy and Youngflesh. -Councilman Law being absent. The. following business was had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. - Councilman Tracy moved that City Attorney, Clifford M. Haworth, and General Manqger, Earl Beck, investigate the investment of meter deposit M funds 'of the Light Plant to see if said funds could be invested in ---1 government bonds. This motion was seconded by Councilman Marino and on OZ voice vote was unanimously carried. Mr. Beck sent out a letter to each Councilman pointing out why he would ct recommend the purchase of the cab-over chassis from the White Motor Company, and the purchase of the line truck from the McCabe Powers Auto Body Company., On recommendation of the General Manager, Councilman Youngflesh moved that the bid of the White Motor Company for furnishing of a cab-over chassis in the sum of $5, 319. 15 with no trade-in be accepted; seconded by Council- man Alkire and on voice vote was carried. On recommendation of the General Manager, Councilman Youngflessh moved II that the bid- of the McCabe Powers Auto Body Company for ,,furnishing a line truck body for the sum of $4, 337.50 be accepted; seconded. by Councilman Tracy and on voice vote was carried. The committee allowed the claims in the sum of $116, 206. 18. The following transfers were allowed: The sum of $25, 000. 00 from Cash Operating Fund to Cash Reserve Fund; the sum of '015, 000. 00 from Cash Operating Fund to Sinking Fund Cash; the sum of $22,543, 73 from Cash Operation Fund to Depreciation Fund Cash; the sum. of 54, 248. 09 from Depreciation Reserve Fund Cash to Cash Operating Fund. There being no further-. business presented, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned.
