MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIIANA, SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT
MONDAY, MAY 19, 1952.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
Committee in charge of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant,
met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in
said City, Monday, May 19, 1952, at the hour of 7: 30 o ' clock. P.M.
(C. S. T. ) . Councilman Alkire Presiding as Vice Chairman with the follow-
ing members being present: Messrs. Baldwin, Kettelforder, Law, Marino,
Salzarulo, Tracy and Youngf iesh. Councilman Eastman being absent.
The following proceedings were had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with.
On motion by Councilman Law, seconded by Councilman Tracy and carried,
the General Manager was authorized to prepare specifications and the
proper advertising to receive bids for a conventional type truck or a
cab-over truck for the Line Department.
By unanimous consent, the General Manager was authorized to request
the Board of Public Works and Safety to take the 90 day options on
the Harry Gilbert farm and other necessary land needed for the rail-
road siding and water supply lines.
The' Committee allowed the claims in the amount of ?173, 913. 25 . The
following transfers were allowed. The sum of , 25,000. 00 from Cash
Operating Fund to Cash Reserve Fund; , 22, 381. 78 from Cash Operating
Fund to Depreciation Reserve Fund Cash; $16, 296. 57 from Depreciation
Reserve Fund Cash to Cash Operating Fund.
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made,
seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned..
