CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SERVING AS A COMMITTE IN
CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC
LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT.
MONDAY, APRIL 21, 1952.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Light-
ing and Power Plant, met in regular session in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall in said City, Monday, April 21, 1952, at the hour of
8: 30 oeclock P.M. (C. S, T, ) . Councilman Eastman Presiding with the
following members being present: Messrs. Alkire, Baldwin, Kettelforder,
Law, Marino, Salzarulo, Tracy and Youngflesh. The following: business
was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded. and carried, the minutes of the Previous
meeting were dispensed with.
Mr. Beck reported that Mr. Mutchner, Chief Engineer, had made some
good coal buys for the summer months but the savings would be off-set
by an anticipated freight rate hike.
No report was given on the new Plant site.
The committee advised Mr. Beck to get bids on the type of truck that
is needed and present to this Body for their consideration.
The committee allowed the claims in the amount of $186, 736.51. Of
this amount the following transfers were allowed: Transfer the sum of
a61, L15,25 from Depreciation Reserve Fund Cash to the Cash Operating
Fund; the sum of $15,000.00 from Cash Operating Fund to Sinking Fund;
the sum of 25,000.00 from Cash Operating Fund to Cash Reserve Fund;
the sum of ,; 22, 116. 1.1 from Cash Operating Fund to Depreciation Reserve
Fund Cash.
There being no further business presented, on motion duly made, seconded 11
and carried, the meeting adjourned.
