Mr. Davenport called attention to the necessity of mailing an improvement of the roadway on North eth street, 5th street, and North D Street, and as the Str, et Railway Company had raise i their tracks along 5th Street, recommended that this matter be referred to the City Attorney. So Referred. The Board then adjourned until 2 O'Clock P. M. At 2 C'Clock F. M. The Board met to consider tha awarding of the contracts for the extension of the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant, All the members of the Board, together with the Mayor being present. Mr. Rosa, Moved that the Turbine Tyne engine be. installed• Motion prevailed. Mr. Mead Consulting Engineer recommended that the Horizontal Turbine was most satisfactory. Mr. Davenport then moved that the Contract. for R"' R. Turbine, Exciter, Generator, Panel and Switch Board, he awarded to The General Electric Company. Motion Prevailed. Mr. Davenport moved that the Bid of the Sterling Boiler Company be accepted. Motion Prevailed. a Mr. Davenport, moved that the Roney Stoker be installed, an° that the Wheeler condenser be accepted, Motion prevailed. The Board then adjourned. The Board of Public works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, ,,at in special session at the Office of said Board, Thursday, June 21st, 1906, at 10 O'Clock A. Y. Messr's, Davenportand Zeller being present. Mr. Rosa being absent. The followinr, proceedings were had, to -wits - The Board met to hear Remonstrances and take Final action in the matter of Declaratory Resolution number 7. For the vacation of North 14th street, from the North line of North E Street, to the North line of the right-of-way of the P. C. C. & St. L. Ry Co. Remonstrances by John E. Evans and others, having been filed, the Board proceeds to hear the same, and being duly advised in the premises, thereupon said Board takes final action upon said Resolution, as originally adopted, modifying same in this, to -wits - said City of Richmond reserves the right to maintain the sewer along that part of said street, so vacated. (North 14th stre=t) as the same is now constructed, end located, wit)- thp rirht to entor and repair and clean the same whenever necessaryv Mr. Davenport then moved that the said Resolution, Number 7 as modified b:� confirmed.
