(Friday) The Board of public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the Office of said Board of pub),, works, Friday June 29th, 1906, at 10 O'Clock A. M. All the members of said Board being present. Viz, 1+essrs, Zeller, Davenport and Rosa, The Following, proceedings were had, tc Improvement Resolution number 710 Providing fo the improve[,:: of South llth street, from South A Street to South B Street, the construction of a cement sidewalk on the West side 4 - was tagen up and after hearing all the persons who apr_:. erested, and being fully advised in tho premises, the Boar'. decided that the benefits to property liable to be assessed: said Improvement would equal or exceed its estimated costs r the same appears from the report of the City Civil Engineer, add thereupon said Board takes final action on sold Resolu} the same being confirmed without modification. The Board met to hear persons interested in the matter of tt Improvement of West Third street, provided for by Improver,_,.* Resolution number 72. Mr. Rosa moved that t"e contract for this work, the constrvoe..ion of the improvement provided for by Improvement Resolution nur*.er 68, be awarded to Daniel G, Burkhardt. Motion prevailed, In the matter of the construction of the improvecent provided for by Improvement%. Resolution number BA, "The construction of cement sidewalks on the East side of Sheridan street, Prom School street to Richmond Avenue" the following. bids were received. to-wite- John Atkinson, Bid 65¢ per lineal foot. John F. Cronin Bid 60¢ per lineal foot. Henry Nolte Bid 60 per li eal foot. Daniel G, Burkhardt Bid b9� per lineal Foot. on Motion of Mr. Davenport, the contract for this work, "The con- structicn of cement sidewalks on the East side of Sheridan strut from School street to Richmond Avenue" was awarded to Daniel G, Burkhardt. In the matter of the construction of the improvement provided for by Improvement Resolution number 660 "The Grading end Graveling of street and the construction of cement curbs and gutters, from the West line of Lot 4 We R. Laid out by Oliver Kinsey, to the cast end Of Kinsey street". There was but one Bid filed, John F. Cronin, being the Bidder at $4.50 per lineal foot. The Engineers estimate being $3.68 Bid being above the estimate, same was rejected. Mr, Davenport, moved that the Board rroceed with the improvement If the alley in the rear of number 4 Hose House according to plans, and under the supervision of the City Civil .ngineer• Motion Prevailed, Mr. Davenport moved that the n ineer prepare en estimate far the pt s repair ofthe alley running East and West from mouth -1strAo the to South 22nd Street., First south of Cain street. and report to Board, Motion prevailed, On Motion, Frank E.
