HomeMy Public PortalAbout01-03-1950 243 IEETING OP THE COMMON COUNCIL, SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, TUESDAY, JANUARY 3, 1950. The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant, met in regular session in the office of the Board of Public Works and Safety in the City Hall in said City, Tuesday, January 3, 1950, at • 7:00 ooclock P.M. Councilman Chambers presiding with the following members being present: Messrs. Baldwin, Eastman, Harris, Law, Marino, Myers, Russell and Tracy. The following proceedings were had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. Councilman Eastman moved that this committee ratify and confirm the Chairman approving the claims for the Light Plant at the end of the month of December as set out by a motion made during the previous meeting. Councilman Harris seconded this motion and on voice vote the motion was unanimously carried. Mr. Beck stated that he had received word from the Gibbs and Hill Company that they would furnish 10 copies of the survey made of the Light Plant by the end of this week. Councilman Harris moved that the .General Manager of the Light Plant be au- thorized to determine the advisability of securing the services of a rate engineer to investigate the present rate structure. Also to make recommen- dations as to who should be employed and the probable cost of this service. On recommendation of Mr. Beck, the committee unanimously consented to meet with Mr. Beck in his office Tuesday, January 10, 1950, at 7:00 oaclock PM. , to discuss the Interconnection Contract. Mr. Beck reported that the Plant has 472 days supply of coal at the Plant. On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the meeting adjourned. Chairman Attest: ! 'try Cler �l
