HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-19-1949 242 MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT_OF TEE CITY OF RICBMOND, IND. , MONDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1949. The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a com- mittee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant, met in regular session in the office of the Board of Public Works and Safety in the City Hall in said City, Monday, December 19, 1949, at S: 30 o'clock P.M. Councilman Chambers presiding with the following members being present: Messrs. Baldwin, Eastman, Harris, Lain, Marino, Myers, Russell and Tracy. The following proceedings were had, to- wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. • • Mr. B. T. Hill. and Mr. Harry Bockhoff, representing the Reid Memorial Hospital, appeared before the Committee requesting a donation of current to said hospital for the year 1950. The Committee took this under advise- ment. • It was unanimously agreed that this Committee would meet at the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.M. January 3, 1950. This action was taken to co-operate with the Richmond School Board for a meeting with the Common Council on the same date after the regular council meeting. • The Committee unanimously consented for the Chairman of the Committee to go over the claims for the end of December and his approval to be made thereon. Mr. Beck- reported' that the Plant has 40 days supply of coal as of this date, and there are 4+3 cars in. transit. The Committee allowed claims in• the amount of $107,965.24. Of this amount, a transfer of $21,070.39 from the General Fund Cash to the Depreciation Reserve Fund Cash was. allowed. • On motion made, seconded and carried unanimously-, the meeting adjourned. • Councilman Eastman and Harris to inspect the claims for January 1950.
