THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 1949. • The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant, met in regular session in the office of the Board of Public Works and Safety . in the City.Building in said City, Monday, November 21, 1949, at 8:30 o 'clock P.M. , Councilman Chambers presiding, with the' following members being present: Messrs. Baldwin, Eastman, Harris, Law, Marino, Myers, Russell' and Tracy. The following proceedings were had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. Mr. Beck reported that he had transferred three (3) cars of coal to Easthaven • Hospital, as they were in need of coal: The coal will be billed direct from the coal company. The budget for the Plant was'delayed until the report from the Gibbs-Hill Co. -- has been fully completed. • the contract between the City of Richmond and the Briggs Baseball Club, Inc., was presented to the committee for their approval. No action was taken On said contract until further investigation had been made by Mr. Beck. Councilman Harris moved that as of December 1, 1949, the insurance as listed in the proposal in the sum of $3,4+271650 for Building and Contents fire insurance, be carried and the premium on said proposal in the sum of $2S,913.19 for a three (3) year period be paid and shown as prepaid insurance for a period of three (3) years. Councilman Law seconded this motion and on voice vote the motion was unanimously carried. The committee allowed claims in the sum of $5S,033.85, Of this amount, there was a transfer of S21,032.24 from the General Fund Cash to the Depreciation Reserve Fund Cash. There being no further business, . on motion duly made, seconded and carried unani- mously, the meeting adjourned. • Chairman Attest: City erk
