MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNOIL,SERVING AS A
COMIdlITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
Committee in charge of the operation of the. Municipal Electric
Lighting. and Power Plant of said City, met in regular session in the
office of the Mayor, Monday, August 16th,1918 at F :30 o'clock P.M.
Councilman. Tracy presiding. Messrs. Baldwin,Eastman,Chambers,Harris,
Law, Marino, 'Myers and Russell being present the' following business
was had, to-wit:II The minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with.
Chairman, Tracy announced that Mr. Stevens would be unable to at-
tend this meeting due sickness.
Chairman, Tracy reported that the business district of Richmond
would need a new net- work feeder system in the very near future as
the preseng feeders are well up to their capacity and added loads are
antisapted in this area. The costs of such installation of a new
feeder would be approx. $45,000 or $ 50,000.
,7-+ The Profit and Loss Statement of the Plant for the month of July,
1948 was presented and commented on. .
`7 Councilman Law moved that the Light Plant furnish each member of
the committee with a copy of a Job Analysis of all the employees at
the Plant and Office of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power
Plant. This motion was seconded by Councilman Eastman and carried
unanimously by the members of the committee.
Councilman Harris moved that the Municipal Electric Lighting and
Power Plant of the City of Richmond Indiana pay to the Civil City
- tie sum of $300,000 for the year 1949, i such amount as it can on
the 1st day January, 1949, and then amorize the balance monthly in
II the year 1949. This motion was seconded by Councilman Eastman and the
following vote was recorded: Ayes-s, Noes-1. Councilman Tracy vote
was in the negative. The vote being in the majority in favor of the
motion it was declared adopted.
Councilman Eastman moved that the claims in the amount of $114,584.39
of which $17,121.29 was capital expenditures be allowed, seconded„by
Councilman Harris and carried unanimously by the committee.
There being no futher business to be brought to the attention of
the committee Councilman Myers moved to adjourn, seconded by Council-
man Marino and carried unanimously by the committee.
