With a second by Kinder the motion was unanimously approved. & Mr. Stevens reported that the interconnection with the Indiana Michigan Electric Company was put into parallel on August 5th, 1947 and that this requires a different operating agreement with the Indiana & Michigan Electric - • Company. He explained that the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company bills presented for payment at this meeting includes the extra demand charge up to and including August 4 based on the thirty minute peak load established between March 5, 1947, the start of our contract year, and August 4, the end of operation on the temporary agreement. He stated that the estimated peak load for 1947 in the old agreement was 19,000 KW but we will actually establish a peak of 22,500 KW or more. The new supplemental agreement is therefore based on 22,500 KW for the balance of this contract year and increased to 23,000 KW for the year ending March 4, 1949 and 23,500 KW for the year ending March 4, 1950. We must purchase standby capacity for the difference between the above peaks and our firm capacity of 16,000 KW; therefore, the charge for the balance of this contract year will be $3250.00 per month and if we exceed 22,500 KW the excess will be paid for in March. He also advised that he has anunderstanding with the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company that they will consider a revision of the contract when our new equipment is in operation. Mr. Homan moved extension of contract be ap_-roved. With a second by Kinder the motion was unanimously approved. After allowing claims in the amount od $112,423.60 on proper motion the meeting adjourned. President Attest; c&t,.... opy IIICity Clerk
