MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL ,SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT
• OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
The Common Council of the City of Ridimond, Indiana, serving as a
Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting
and Power Plant of said City , met in the office of the Mayor , Monday,
August 18th, 1947 at 8:30- o'clock P. M. --- Messrs. Brehm, Harris,
Homan, Marino, Russel & Tracy being present the following proceedings •
were had to—wit;
Tie reading of the mi4utes of the previous meeting was dispensed
with.

• On Generation Mr. Stevens reported a new high of 380,000 k. w. was
produced by the Plant on August 13th, 6000 k. w. more than was generated
August 5th, 1947, during, the last week a total of 2,2859000 k. w. was
produced at the Plant which exceed by 63,000 ko w. the plant record set
the previous week.
On the recommendation of Mr. Stevend the Committee unanimously approved
the Transfer of $260,788.73 from the Depreciation Reserve Fund Cash to the
General Fund Cash of the M. E. L. & P. P. as follows;

Total --- $260,788.73
The Committee authorized Mr. Stevens to purchase from the Public Service
Company of Indiana lines serving nine customers on U. S. 35 where the new
City Lines have been extended and rural costomers have been brought into the
City by an Annexation Ordinance recently. The cost for the purchase of the
rural lines in this locality is $3,396.0.
After allowing claims in the amount of $48,681.14 on groper motion the
Committee adjourned.
