MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL , SERVING AS
A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
ATUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POWER PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, IUDIANA.
The Common Cou cil of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting
& Power Plant of said City. , met in the,office of the Mayor Monday,May
5th, 1947 at 8:30 o'clock P. M. -- Messrs. Brehm, Chambers, Ewbank,
Harris, Homan, Kinder, Marino , Russell & Tracy being present the following
Proceedings were had to-wit;
III The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with,

The report on Generation for April was 885,000 k. w which was 21.3
percent over the same period for the year 19)46.
The peak load for April 1947 was 21,300 k. w. or 19.)r above the same
period in 191+6 which was 17,R00 k. w.
?'r. Stevens presented a report showing 47 citizens against- temporary
lighting being installed in the Paecock Terrace Addition to 41 for the
temporary lighting.
Mr. Stevens reported Coal shippments were slow at present.
The Committee discussed .the matter of obtaining the services of an
. t Engineer to take the place of John Mueller on construction work at the
Light Plant and Mr. Homan moved that Mr. Stevens be authorized to contact
an engineer to carry on the work and make report to the Committee.
After allowing claims in the amount of $71,721.95 on proper
motrion the, meeting adjourned.
raPort(Afor the first Four months of the year 1947 showed an increase
in Generation of 19.4+ percent. The Peak load for the same period "showing
n.incr-ease of 18.3 percent.
