MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL ,SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT
. OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting
& Power Plant of said City, met in the office of the Mayor Monday, April
21st, 194+7 at ga30 o'clock P. M. Messrs. Brehm, Chambers , Ewbank
Homan, Marino, Russell & Tracy being present the following proceedings were
had to. wit;
The reading of the minutes of the preceding meeting was dispensed with.
The following petition was presented by residence living on Northwest
10th Street between Main Street and peacock Road; we respectfully request
that no temporary lighting installations be Made::on: said street and that so
much thereof as has already been installed be removed, and that we are
willing to wait for the proper installation of permanent Ornamemtal Lights,
hereto-fore ordered by the City which we understandwill be made the latter
part of 1947. The petition was signed by Twenty -Three resident property
owners in that location . The petition was taken under further advisement.
Mr. Stevens reported the Coal mines were back in operation and that
coal from the mineswasravailable.
After allowing claims in the amount of $ 74+,9E19.16 on proper
motion the meeting adjourned.
