MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POWER PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
The 'Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana serving as a
Committee in charge od the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting
e.rr. Power Plant of said City , met in the office of the Mayor Monday,
March 17th, 194+7 at S:30 o'clock P. M. -- Messrs. Brehm, Chambers,
Ewbank, Harris, Homan, Kinder , Marino, Russell & Tracy being present
the fol:n wing peoceedings were had to-wit;
The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed
with.
- ,Mr: -Clarence Brown & Mr. Ben Hill appeared before the Committee in
regard to a request for an increase in electric current over the appro-
priation of last year foi::Reid Memorial"Hospital: said_sum b-eingcin_ the
amount :of _$3,6OOo00o9-_Mr: Brown stated due to the overcrowded condition
at the Hospital last year considerable more electric current was used
than the amount appropriated by the Committee, therefore the Trustees of
the Hospital are requesting that the Committee operating the Light Plant
increase the appropriation for the year 1947.
After some discussion on the matter Mr. Homan moved that the Reid
Memorial Hospital-receive. the amount of $) ,000.00 in Electric Current
from the Municipal Electric Light Plant for the year 1947. With a second
by Ewbank the motion was unanimously approved.
After allowing claims in the amount of $)+g, 537.gg on proper motion
the meeting adjourned.
