MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL ,SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN' CHARGE OF T11E OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POIER PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
The Common Council of. the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting
& Power Plant of said City , met in the office of the Mayor Monday,
Febr_uary3rd, 1947 at Ss30 o'clock P. M. --- Messrs. Brehm, Chambers,
Ewbank, Homan, Kinder , Marino, Russell & .Tracy being present the following
proceedings were had to wit;
The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with.
IIIOn the recommendation of Mr. Stevens , Mr. Kinder moved a contract be
renewed with ;the Knox Consolidated Coal Co. for furnishing coal at the Light
Plant:for a period of One Year beginning February 10th, 1947. With a second
by Marino the motion was unanimously approved.
Mr. Stevens pr �r rt c3 a re-pert on Generation showing a total use of
9,244,000 k. w. for January 190 ww-io h included 6,000 k. w. taken from the
Plants interconnection system with another utility.
Total Generation at the Plant was 9,23E1,000 k. w. in January 1947 as
compared with 15,19S,000 k. w. for January 1946.
A new peak record was set January 7th,1947 when 21,100 k. w. was. set, the
previous peak was 21,000 k. w. November 26th, 1946;
After allowing claims in the amount of $-201.029 . 82 on proper
motion the meeting adjourned.
