COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POTTER PLANT
OP THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANh.
The Common Coucnil of the City of Richmond, Indiana; serving as-a
Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting
& Power Plant of said City , met in the office of the ; Mayor,
Monday, December 2nd, 194+6 at g:30 o'clock P. M. --- Messrs. Brehm,
Chamber, , Ewbank, Harris,-Homan Kinder, Marino & Tracy being present
the following proceedings were had to-wit; -
The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting has dispensed
with. ,
The report on Generation for the month of November showed 8,575,000
k. w. in comparison with the same period of November , 1945,which was
7,612,000 k. w. an increase of 12.7 percent. The rea_k load for the
month of November, 1906 was 21,000 k. w. and the peak load for November
19h5 ws S 17,000 k. w. showing an increase of 18..6 percent.
Mr. Stevens called attention the current being off for a short period
stating the current was only off for a period of about two minutes down
town however it was off fora longer period on -some of the circuits bat
none,o-�er a period of twenty minutes.
The matter of the Coal strike affecting the electric current production
at the Light Plant was discussed by the Committee with Mr. Stevens and
Mayor Britten and it was the ana.nimous opinion that Mr Stevens go to
India.namolis and discuss with the proper authorities the matter of ob-
taining coal sufficient to. keey the Plant operating and make a report
to the committee if necessary.
Mr. Stevens was authorised to obtain eb4a411 electric current through the
Interconnecting System if possible.
After allow ng claims in the amount of $68,232.51 on proper motion
the meeting adjourned.
