The Common Council of the City of Richmond., Indiana, serving as a Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant of saki City met in the office of the Board of Works,Monday, . ]November .lgth, 1946 at S:30 o 'clock P. M. --- Messrs. Brehm, Chambers, Harris;, Homan, Kinder , •Marino, Russell & Wilkins being present the following proceedings were had to-wit; The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved, Mr. Stevens reported the lamp contract would. expire December 1st, 1946 and it had been the custom of letting each firm have. the contract for a period of. two years however the contract was only made for a period of one year. • After some discussion Mr. Chambers moved Bartel, Rohe & Rosa be given the contract far a period of one year due to the fact they had never had the contract. With a second by Russell the motion was approved unanimously. A, report was presented on the amount of coal for the Light Plant in case of the pire.sent crisis. Mr. Stevens stated about four and two-thirds weeks supply was in storage with a possible two and one third weeks supply in • transient yet to be delivered. The Committee discussed. with- Mr. Stevens the possibility of getting a supply of power from the Indiana Michigan lines through the inter- connection sustem in case of emergence and. Mr. Stevens was authorized to make an investi- .gation as to the same in case of emergency. Mr. Stevens stated both the turbin and the boiler would probably be shipped the first part of D cember.
