MEETING OP THE COMMON COUNCIL ,SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OP THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING 8, POWER PLANT
OP THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a . •
Committee in chrge oa the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting
& Power Plant of said City met in the office of the Board of Works, Monday,
NoveTber 4th, 1946 et 8:30 O'clock P. M.-- Messrs. Brehm, Chambers, Ewbenk,
Homan, Russell & Tracy being present the following proceedings were had. to-wit;
The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with..
Mr. Stevens reported a circuit bra_ker burned out causing an out on some
of the light circuits'but the lights were only off for a short- period on

most of the lines.
The resort ..)n Generation for the month of October showed 9,076,000 k. w.
21.7 --)ercent increase above the same period for October. , 1945 which was
7,458,000 k. w. . , the peak load for the month of October , 1946 was 20,400 k.W.
or 27.5 percent over the same -period. in 1945, which.was 16,000.
Mr. Stevens stated he had talked with the Mayor end the Mayor approved
the closing of the mens comfort , station in the basement at the Light Plant
Offices on South Sth Street and the 8ommittee aut lori zed Mr. Stevens to pro-
ceed with the closing of the same.
After allowing claims in the amount of $45,192.90 on proper
motion the meeting adjourned.
