MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POT,4'ER PLANT

The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a ¢committee
in chargeof the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant
of said City mBt in the office of the Boad of Works, Monday , October 2lst,
1946, at g:30 o'clock P. M. ---- Messrs. Brehm, Chambers, Ewbank, Harris;,
Homan, Kinder, Marino, Russell & Tracy being present the following proceiedings
were had to-wit; i

The reading of the minutes-.pf the previous meeting was dispensed with.
On the recommendation of Mr. Stevens the Committee unanimously approved
the renewal of a contract with the General Electric Co. for furnishing the
meters for M. E. L. & P. P. for a period of one year as of October 1st, 946.
Mr. Stevens presented a report on amount received from the Base Ball Park
account akOctober 12,1946 which was $1644.12 with $lgg.95 applied to the
. Electric Bill $1413.46 applied- to the investment and $41.71 applied to the
City as Gross Income Tax.
The Committee unanimously a.noroved the same proposal in regadd to furnishing
rri -- Xmas Lighting the same as last year providing the lights were turned off and on
psi as of the previous year.
`'''D Mr. Stevens discussed with the Committee the matter of increasing the amount
- of insurance on the machinery and boiler and it was by unanimous consentlthat
the insurance on the same be increased from $300,000.00 to $500,000.00 beginning
next month.
After allowing claims in the amount of $49,257.16 on -proper motion the
Committee adjourned.

A report on the amount taken in at the Rase 73a11' Park showed a totali of
funds received 34, 397.64, $755.80 paid for electric current $43.97 paid out
in taxes with $3,597.g7 applied on the original investment of lights & etc.
