MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL ,SPRVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION. OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & PO? . PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, IRIJIANAQ
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Committee
in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power -lent
of said City met in the office of the Board of Works, Monday, September 2nd,
1946, at g:30 o'clock P. M. -- Messrs . Brehm, Chambers, Harris, Homan, Kinder,
Marino, Russell & Tracy being present the following proceedings were h d to-wit;
The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed witi•.
Mr. Stevens Presented a report on Generation for the month of August
1946, showing g,621,000 k. w. in comparison with the same period in 19
which was 7,504,000,k. w.
The peak load for the month of August was 19,600 k. w. an increase o,
g.9 percent over the same period.for. 1945 which was 1g00O.
Mr. Stevens reported the Insurance Committe on Public Liability woul
meet with the Committee operating the Light Plant probably at the regular
meeting September 16th, 1946.
Mr Stevens reported the boiler for the Plant would probably be ship.ed
within.a couple of weeks and the turbin around the 15th .Of:October.

The Committee unanimously approved a 15 minute Radio Program sponsor-d
by the Light Plant regarding kitchen talks for a period of 13 weeks beginning
October 1st, 1946 , for the sum of $236.0g.
The Committee approved the installation of Ornamental Lights in Peacock
• Terrace as soon as material is available.
After allowing claims in the amount of $ 33,067.E+6 on proper-mot on
the meeting adjourned.
