This is accomplished by providing lifesaving equipment and prevention education tools to first responders and public safety organizations". DocuSign Envelope ID: 9941F832-C418-4934-ACBB-00B4A8C8C8E6 A Police Department goal is to place new Automated External Defibrillators (AED) in all Police vehicles. This Foundation has a maximum grant amount of $45,000, which will fund approximately twenty AEDs. Staff believes it is in the best interest of the City to apply for a grant for twenty AEDs. An option of the grant program is that the Foundation will procure the AEDs and donate them to the City, eliminating the need for City procurement. Financial Impact: If successful, the City will receive up to twenty AEDs with a value of approximately $45,000. There is no matching requirement for this grant. Proposed Action: Staff recommends City Commission authorize the submission of a grant application to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to potentially be the recipient of up to twenty Automated External Defibrillators to be used by the Police Department.
