MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL ,SERVING AS
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Committee
in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant
of said City met in the office of the Board of Works Monday , June 3rd, 1946
at 8:30 o'clock P. M. my Messrs. Brehm, Chambers, Ewbank, Harris , Homan,
Kinder, Marino, Russell & Tracy being present the following proceedings were
had to-wit;
The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with.
Councilman Homan reported the sum of $495,000.00 was all the Federal Reserve
Bank of Chacago would accept out of the original amount of $750,000,00 in
United States Certificates .
Members of the Committee discussed with Ramsey McDonald the matter of
installing radio sets in at least 5 mobile unites of the Light Plant
equipment for the purpose of adding more efficient service to that Depart-
ment.
Mr. Brehm moved the matter be referred to the Utility Committee for a
7"1 a report at the next regular meeting of the Committee, operating the
Light Plant. With a second by Marino the motion was unanimously approved.
A report showed the Coal situation in p good shape for the present.
After allowing claims in the amount of $ 116,828.26 on proper
motion the meeting adjourned.
