MEETING OP THE COMMON COUNCIL, SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE TY CHLRGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE

The Common. Council of the City of Richmond , Indiana, serving as
Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Light'_rm
& Power ?rant of said City met in the office of the Board of Works, Monday
Sentembef 17th, 19115 , at S` 30 o'clock Pe M. -- Messrs. Brehm. Cartwright,
Ewbank, Hib'berd, Homan., Kinder, Marino, Russell_ & Tracy being present the
following; nroceedin;s were had to-wit:
The re^dir.c of the minutes of the previous meeting wos di.snensed with;

Mr. Stevens there hod been some discussion with the carpenters working
on the improvement at the plant as. to an increase in wages in the sum of
.15 cents on the hour and that a work stopnage had occured but they had re-
turned- and. e -d to wait until a report was received from the War Labor
Board . Mr Stevens_- also ,.tatted stated he_had agreed to make the increase
effective as cf September 9th, 19115, providing the Wa.r Labor Board arnroved
the same. After further. discussion Mr. Kinder moved that the Committee
approve the remort and action of Mr. Stevens. With e second by Marino the
motion was unanimously a.n"nroved.
Mr. Stevens stated in some locations a. portion 6f the Street Lights
had be turned off due to a storm which nut the transformer u.t of action
and a siga1ler transformer had to be installed which could carry all the
load but this was only temporary, until another transformer could be obtained.
Mr. Stevens retorter? No. 7 boiler at the tl.ant was out of use due to
an overhauling nr.ocess but would be back in service around the 15th of
October.
After allowing claims in the emiount of $ 23,907.92 nn proper motion
the Committee adjourned..
