MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OP THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a C
Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting
and Power Plant of said City met in the office of the Board of Works
Monday, August 20th, -1945, -at g:30 o'clock P. M. -- Messrs. Brehm, Cart-
wright, Ribank , Hibberd, Homan, Kinder, Marino, Russell, & Tracy being
present the following proceedings were had to-wits
The 'reading of the minutes-of the preceding meeting was dispensed
with.

The matter of placing posters on the Light Plant rolls in accordance
with the request from Richard Hicks Executive Secretary of the Wayne
County Victory Fund, Inc. was discussed further among the Committee and
Mr. Stevens recommended that he •be contacted in regard to how the posters
be attached 'to the polls as there was some damger if posters was to be
nailed to the wooden polls and the committee recommended that the Clerk
notify Mr. Hicks to contact Mr. Stevens before attaching any posters to
the Light Polls.
Mr. tiarino called attention to the Committee in regard to,at various
times when traffic Lights go out at nights in sections where one over-
head light ' s installed sufficient to cause traffic confusion creating
reasons for s rious" accidents it was his opinion -that arrangements
should be made ....or emergency repairs at such intersections.
The same was referred to the :Board of Public Works and Safety.
Afetr allowing claims in the amount of $23„93l>OO on proper motion
the Committee adjourned.
