IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL- ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POWER PLANT OF, THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA. The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a . Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric -Lighting and Power Plant of. said City met in the office of the Board of Works, Mond.ay, .A.pril l6th 1945, at gc30 o'clock P. M. --- Messrs, Brehm, Cartwright, Ewbank, Hibberd,- Homan,Kinder, Marino, Russell,&fTracy being present the following proceedings were had to-wit; . The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved; Mr. William Railer appearea before the Committee operating the Light Plant at their request and discussed matters pertaining to some of the operations of :Reid Memorial Hospital which Council acting as a Committee in the operation of the Light Plant had been interested in . Mr. Reller stated no doubt due to the lack of sufficient help at this time their might be times when emergency cases had- not received . the immediate attention but it was not the i.ntented a7oliey ofqthosein>-aharge at the Hospital that this should happen and after further disctrlssion with Mr. Keller in regard to the care of emergency cases Mr. Kinder stated he was of the opinion that Mr. Reller was well informed now of the rumors which had been reported to the Committee in regard to the lack of attention at the Hospital in emergency cases and he was of the opinion also that if such case be true they would properly remedied therefore Mr. Kinder moved that the usual amount of Electric Current in the sum of $3,600.00 be con- tributed to Reid Memorial Hospital for the year 19h5. With a second by Homan the motion was. unanimously approved. Mr. Stevens reported construction on the- Cooling Tower was progressing satisfactorly. Mr. Stevens reported the Coal Miners in Indiana were still out although an. agreement had been reached, but he was able to pick up a few cars of Eastern Coal.
