MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL, SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE.OPERATION_ OF THE
MtJFICIPAL .ELECTRIC. LIGHTING & POI PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICIfl4O D,INDIANA.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting
&'.Power Plant of said City met in the office of the Board of Works, 1.
Monday , February 5th, 1945, at 8:30 o'clock -P. M. -- Messrs. Brehm,
Cartwright, Hibberd, Homan, Kinder, Marino ,&ussell , Tracy & Wilkins
being present the following proceedings were had to-wit;
Mr. Stevens presented a report on generation showing 8,456,000 K.W. H.
in the month of January ,1945, 259,000 K. W. H. above January of 1944, an
increase of 3.2 .
Thepeak load for January of 1945, was 18,000 K. W. H. an increase of
600 K. W. H. over the same period of last year, 1944, an increase of
3.4 per cent.
The Coal report -showed that a 30 day supply existed at the plant and
Mr, Stevens stated he had received an additional supply Of 20 cars which
' lasted throught the embargo period.
rn On the reeommendation of Mr. Stevens the Committee unanimously
approved a re-newal of the Coal 6ontract which expires February 10th,
1945 with Knox Consolidated Coal Co. of Indianapolis, Indiana, for a
period of one year for the sum of $1.80 per ton F. 0. B. mines.
After allowing claims in the amount of $ 36,924.57 on proper
motion the Committee adjourned.
