PROPERTY TAX CANCELLATION AND REFUND
WHEREAS, Block 2301, lot 9 applied for a tax exemption under the provisions for a
total disabled veteran status in accordance with N.J.S.A. 54:4- 3.30et seq, and
WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor has reviewed and approved the application, and
WHEREAS, the Tax Collector is recommending that the following taxes be cancelled
accordingly:
2016 $2,519.78 (Municipal Portion)
2017 $2,720.58 (Municipal Portion)
2018 $6,738.42
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, New Jersey, that the Tax Collector cancel
taxes as set forth above and refund the overpayment in the amount of $8,021.16.
Adopted this 16 day of August, 2018
and certified as a true copy of the original
on August 11, 2018.
