PLANT OF' THE_CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA. The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant of said City, met in the office of the Board of Works Monday, December l8th, 1944, at 8:30 o'clock P. M. --Messrs. Cartwright, • Hibberd, ,Homan, Kinder, Marino, Russell, Tracy & Wilkins being present the following proceedings were had to-wit; - The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. The matter of appropriating the sum of $5.00 to each City Employee as a Xmas Gift from the City of Richmond and paid out of the Light Plant Funds was discussed by the Committee with City Attorney & Mr. Stevens Superintendent of the Light Plant and City Attorney Keisker informed the Committee that Mr. Coble from the State Auditor's Office had recommended that employees of the Civil City -other than Light Plant Employees should ( 461. ,J6 • not receive gifts from the Light Plant Funds and that only Light Plant employees should participate in the distribution extra compensation as ),4,/" �` `�'"� it had been the custom for some time. y,ll� i} &Y Mr. Cartwright stated in his opinion extra compensation for all City fir; employees including the Light Plant employees should be curtailed this year as it night cause some ill feeling in the other departments of the City. Mr. Hibberd stated it was his opinion that the LightPlant employees should not be penalized on account of the action of the State Auditor's Office and he would move that the Light Plant Employees be given the sum of $5.00 as extra compensation for Xmas., the same as last year. With a second by Russell the Clerk Palled the roll and the vote was recorded as follows; Ayes, Cartwright, Hibbard, Homan, Marino, Russell and Tarcy. Hayes. Kinder. With a sufficient number of votes being in the " affirmative the motion was declared adopted.) After allowing claims in the amount of $52,230.24 on proper motion the Committee adjourned.
