HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolutions-2017-007 (3) DocuSign Envelope ID:06D8C 1 AB-D276-42E0-94DA-27C1 EA46DC88 RESOLUTION NO. 2017-007 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EXTENSION TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA AND THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES JULY 1, 2018 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2020 Whereas, the City Council of the City,of Tiffin, Iowa ("City") entered into a contract agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 61 ("AFSCME") acting on behalf of the City employees; and, Whereas, AFSCME has requested an extension to the current agreement; and, Whereas, the City of Tiffin has reviewed and considered the request for a contract extension, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to an extension to the Collective Bargaining Agreement Between the City of Tiffin and American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, July 1, 2018—June 30, 2020, and to authorize the Mayor and negotiating committee to sign and City Clerk to attest said agreement, which is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution. On the 7h day of February, 2017, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Counciijiff in, Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2017-007, A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EXTENSION TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA AND THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES JULY 1, 2018 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2020, and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Havens, Ayes: Upton, Havens, Ryan, Kahler Nays: None. Absent: Bartels. Whereupon Four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2017-007, A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EXTENSION TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA AND THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES JULY 1, 2018 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2020, to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
