MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL SERVING AS A
• COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POWER PLANT
OF THE CITY OP R.ICHMONrD, INDIANA,
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting
& Power Plant of said: City , met in the office of the Board of Works
Mondey , September. 14th, 1944, at S: 30 o 'clock P. M. -- Messrs. Brehm,
Cartwright, Hibberd, Homan , Kinder, Eari_n +, Russell, Tracy and Wilkins
being present the following proceedings were had to—wit;
The reading of the minutes of the preceding was dispensed with;
A general discussion was ha.d in regard. to the necessity of a.
new cooling tower at the plant and M"r. Stevens %resented pictures of
the anticipated improvement estimating the cost to be around .$65,000.00.
a discussion was had in regard to the anticipated peak load in the
next few years and Cartwright recuested that it be. made a matter of
record that the peak load. K. W. would. reach 1S,000 K. .TAT by the year
1950.
After allowing claims in the amount of $89,499.11 on proper •
motion the Committee adjourned.
