Bids were received for the construction of cement sidewalks and
cement curbs and gutters on both sides -of South •6th strut
from Wain street to South •A° street as provided for by Improve_
ment Resolution N0. 117-1907, an follows: -
John R, A. Schneider bid 12 cents per square foot for cement
sidewalk,•37 cents per lineal foot for gutter strip. ;1.00 per
lineal foot for circular curb and gutter and 70 cents per lineal
foot for straight curb and gutter and 14 cents per square foot
for intersections. and $15.00 for inlets, Contract awarded to
Schneider, he being the only bidder.
The city Civil Aigine-?r reported the completion of the improve-
ment of South 17th street by the construction of cement curbs
and gutters on both sides thereof from Lain street to South •A'
street as provided for by Improvement Resolution NO, 02-1907,
the same was taken under advisement,
On motion, the Board appoints, Charles W. Starr, member of the
Fire Department, of the City of Richmond, appointment to date
from August 5th, 1907,
The Board did then adjourn.

The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana
met in regular session at the Office of said Board on Friday
August 2nd, 1907, at 10 0'Clock A, U, All the members of said
Board, Messrs, Merrill. O,Neai and Johnson being present, the
following proceedings were had, to -wit: -
The Board eztdnds the time for the completion of the improve-
ment provided for by Improvement Resolution No, 101-1907, to
December 1st, 1907.
The Board orders Frank Evans to make extra excavation in the
alley to be improved between South 14th and 15th from C to
D streets amounting to 260 yards at a coat of, $80,80,
The Board accepts Improvement of South 17th street by the con-
strrietion of cement curbs and gutters on both sides thereof
from Main street to South °A° street as provided for by Improve-
ment Resolution NO. 92-1907, and approves a primary assessment
roll in said matter.
