MRETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL,SERVING AS A
COMMITT E IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION. OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POWER PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, IWDIANA.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as
a Committee in charge of the operation of the Municiapl Electric
Lighting and Power Plant of the said City, met in the office of the•
Board of Works. Monday, March 15th, ?9l 3 , at 8:30 o°clock P. M� •
Messrs. Cartwright, Hibberd, Homan, Kinder, Russell, Tracy and Wilkins
being present the following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Members of Council discussed with Mr. Stevens the matter of a •
Coal shortage which might effect the operation of the Light Plant
on the account of a Miner's Strike expected around the 1st of April
and Mr. Stevens stated with the amount of coal camming in and that
already in storage he thought there would a sufficient supply to
carry through any strike period which the Government might permit.
After. allowing claims. in the amount of $40,504.62 on proper
motion they adjourned.
