MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL,SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OP THE OPERATION OP THE
MUNICIPAL FLFCTRIC LIGHTING & POWER PLANT
'OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as a
Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Lighting
and Power Plant of the said City, met in the office of the Board of
Works, Monday, January 4th, 1943, at 8:30 o'clock P. M. Messrs. Brehm,
Cartwright, Hibberd, Homan, Kinder, Marino, Russell, Tracy and Wilkins
being present the following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceding were read and approved.
The report on generation presented by Mr. Stevens showed an increase
of 6.4 percent in December over the same period for last year9 but the
peak load for December showed a decrease of 500K.W. in-comparison-With'.
December 'of last year.
The matter of a fire in a West side dwelling which started in a bunch
of trash on the b orch burning -around a Light Meter causing the dis-
truction er near by was referred to the City Attorney.
Mr. Homan stated in appointing the Utility Committee from members of
Council,that did not apply to a Committee operating the Light Plant but
to report on other Utilities of the City , as Council as^a Whole were
to act as a Committee operating the Light Plant.
After allowing claims in the amount of $41,385.11 on proper
motion they adjourned. •
