HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-16-1942 47 MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL SERVING AS A COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OP THE OPERATION_ OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POWER PLANT OF TH7 CITY OF RICHMO1'D, INDIANA. The Common Council of the City of Richmond Indiana, serving as a' c: Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Light- ing and Power Plant of the said City, met in the office of the Board of Works Monday, November 16th, 1942, at 8:30 o'clock P. M. Messrs. Beeson, Haas, Hibberd, Homan, Huff, Kinder, Tracy & Wilkins being present the following proceedings were had to-wit; The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. On the recommendation of Mr. Stevens Mr. Hibberd moved that the sum of $30,000.00 be transferred from the General Fund Cash of the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant to the Depreciation Reserve Fund Cash of the same said Plant. With a second by Homan the motion was unanimously approved. Council unanimously approved the sale of lot No. 277 Reevston Add. for the principal sum invested in the Barrett Law Bond on the said lot waving all accumulated interest & etc. On the r-ecom7 ;ndati on of Mr. Stevens , Mr. Kinder moved that the ,� annual -contract. for:furnishings the lamps for the M. E. L. & P.P be awarded to the Rodefeld Company beginning December lst, 1942. With a second by Wilkins the motion was approved. On the recommendation of Mr. Stevens , Mr. Homan moved that the Meter Contract which expires December 1st be renewed with the General Electric Co. . With a second by Kinder the motion was approved. • Mr. Stevens reported he had contacted'Mr. Sporn in regard to the Interconnection System and applications for priorities were in the mail, also that it would be necessary for He and Mr. Beck along with members of Council to go to Washington soon in regard to. the_::matter,of the same. After allowing claims in the amount of $35,565.96 on proper motion they adjourned, resideht Attest; g City Clerk.
