The Common Council of the' City of Richmond , Indiana, serving as a.
Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Elecrtic Lighting
& Power Plant of the said City , met in the office of the Board of works,
- Monday, October 5th, 1942 at S:j0 o'clock P. M. Messrs Beeson, Cartwright,
Haas, Hibberd, Homan, Huff, Kinder, Tracy and Wilkins being present the
following Proceedings were had. to-wit;
. ' The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with.
A letter was presented. to Council from the Municipal League in regard
to thie use of Light Plant Funds foret'__er•rurshase of Defense Bonds. Th
letter stated an effort was being made to get the attitude of various
0ity Officials where such funds were available. Council favored the Use of
Such funds in reasonable amounts and referred the matter to Mr. Stevens' to
.redly to the officials of the League.
• The matter of a cash'refund to- the ,Jenkins Vhlcdn- Siring Co. -for -the
difference in power rating was taken under further advisement.
A contract with the Pall-Item for 500. inches of advertising was anp-
roved by Council.

Mr. Stevens reported priority for material to be used in the inter-con-
nection system would be filed soon.
After allowing claims in the amount of $ 2S,757.15 on proper
motion they adjourned.
