MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL, SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IIT CaEARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POWER PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
The Common Council of the City._of Richmond,. Indiana, serving
•
as a Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric •
Lighting and Power Plant of the said City, met in the office of the
. Board of Works, Monday, September:21st, 1942, at 8^00 o'clock P. M.
Messrs. Beeson, Cartwright, Haas, Hibberd, Homan- HLff ;Cinder Tracy
and Wilkins being present the following proceedings were had. to-wit;
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
The -matter of purchasing Xmas Candy for City Employees at an
earley date was discussed by Council and Mr. T rcy stated it would
• be necessary to place the order early -if _ :':` chocolate candy
was to be .ourchased. Mr. Homan moved that Mr. Stevens obtain bids
•
from various dealers and be authorized to purchase the usual amount
of candy for 6ity Employees. With a second by Kinder the motion was
•
approved.

Mr. Stevens reported the insallation of lines at the Perfect Circle •
was progressing also the interconnection system was was working out in
a satisfactory manner,
• - In referring to the matter of a cash refund to the Jenkins-Vulcan
Spring Co. Mr. Stevens stated a letter had been mailed to them reaues-
timg they _file their complaint with the State Utility Commission but
no reply ha.d. received as yet.
After allowing claims in the amount of. $2g,S62.)1 on proper
motion- they adjourned.
