MEETING OF TNF COMMON COUNCIL,SERVING AS A -
• COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POWER PLANT
• OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, .
•
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving as
Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric Light-
ing & Power Plant of the said City, met in the office of the Board
of Works, Monday, August .i-7th, 1912, at 8:30 o'clock P. M. Messrs.
Beeson, Cartwright, Haas, Hibberd., Homan, Huff, Tracy and Wilkins
being present the following proceedings were had to-wit;
The reading of the minutes of the preceding meeting was disc
perised with .
Mr. Stevens reported there had been no further action taken in
regard. to the sale of a lot in Reeveston Add.ition,in which Light
Plant Funds are invested for Barrett taw Bonds9 and recommended
that an appraiser be appointed to investigate the value of the sev-
eral other lots in the City where such funds are invested. After
some discussion on the matter the same was referred to Mr.Hibberd
and the City Controller, for a report later.
Mr. Stevens reported he had received word from the State Utility
s 1 Commissioners inrre_gardto the refund to domestic consumers of electric
rai current and theystated they were not authorized to make any ruling in

the matter and recommended the State Attorney General be contacted in
the matter.
Council authorized Mr. Stevens to negotiate for two new cars to replace
one 1935 Plymouth Coupe and one 1938 Chevrolet Coach each to be use as
a trade in and report at a later date .
Council was advised that negotiations were in progress in regard to
the grounds for the inter-connection service with thy American Gas and
Electric Company. -

After allowing claims in the amount of $37,805c00 on proper
motion they adjourned. •
