MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL,SERVING AS A •
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE •
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING AND POWER PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving
as a Committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Electric
Lighting and Power Plant of the said City, met in the office of the
Board of Works , Monday , August 3rd, 1942, at g:3O .o'clock P. M.
Messrs. Beeson, Cartwright, Haas, Hibberd, Homan, Huff, Kinder,
Tracy, and Wilkins being present the following proceedings were
had to-wit;

The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. Ills
The report given by Mr. Stevens on generation showed for the
month of .July a slight decrease ofof. 1 percent as over the same
period of last year.
Mr. Stevens reported an offer of face value waving all interest
had been made by Harrison Scott for the Barrett Law Improvement Bond,
property of the Light Plant Funds against the property of Thomas Mitch-
ell located in Fairview and he recommended the interest be waived an
the Bonds sold for cash, in the amount of $1,076.29.
After some discussion,Mr. , Kinder moved that the recommendation
of Mr. Stevens be complyed with and the City Controller & Mr. Stevens
be authorized to sell the said Bonds for cash in the amount of fa:.^_.;.
value of the Bonds $1,076.29,waving all accrude interest. With a eecond
by Wilkins the motion was unanimously approved.
Mr. Stevens reported an enquiry had been made in regard to the
purchase of the Barrett Law Improvement Bonds property of the Light
Plant Reserve Fund held against a certain lot in Reevston and Mr.Urban,
City Controller, proceeded to call attention to Council in regard to
other Barrett Law Improvement Bonds- property of the Light Plant Reserve
Fund held against lots in elear Creek Addition and etc. , stating the
time limit for the redemption of such property would soon expire on
some of the lots and he recommended the matter be investigated, the
same being referred to City Attorney Keisker for a report later.
After allowing claims in the amount of $4g,465.77 on Proper
motion they adjourned.
