MEETING 00 THE COMMON COUNCIL ,SERVING AS A
COMA"ITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POWER PLANT
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.

The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving
as a committee in charge of the operation of the Municipal Elec-
tric Lighting and Power Plant of the said City, met in the office
of the Board of Works ; Monday , June 1st, 1942, at 5:30 P. M.
Messrs. Beeson, Cartwright, Chambers, Hibberd, Huff, Kinder and
Tracy being present the following proceedings were had to-wits
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Stevens gave a report on generation for the month stating
it showed a gradual decrease,.n the last two months.
Mr. Stevens reported he had been working with Mr. Sporn in
regard to the inter-connecting system and probably other meetings
would be necessary before it could be worked out.
A report on the credit given by .the Insurance Co. on the
Machiner.yPoliby,i a-u at th.e-plant was presented by Mr.
Stevens9 the same being with Richmond Fire and Casualty Ass-
• ociation per Jenkins Bro.
• Mr. Stevens stated he had held a conference with Harry Gennett
in regard to the construction of the dam near the light Plant as
to the effect it might have on their water supply at their factory
and he expected it to meet with their approval.

After allowing claims in the amount of $37,996.49 on proper
motion they adjourned.
