MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL, SERVING AS A
COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHTING & POWER PLANT
OF°THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, serving
as a Committee in cha±ge of the operation of the Municipal Elec-
tric Lighting and Power Plant of the said City, met in the office of
the Board of Works, Monday , April 6th, 1942, at 8:30 P. M. Messrs.
Beeson, Chambers, Hibberd , Homan, Kinder, Tracy and Wilkins being
-present the following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Stevens gave a report on generation at the Light Plant,
stating the for the month of March the gross power generation was
6,367,000 kilowatt hours showing and increase of 15.6 per cent over
the same period last year, he also stated the generation was now
showing a gradual drop because some of the local plants are being
converted to war production.
In making a report on the progress of plans for standby service
Mr. Stevens stated it was possible the interconnection would be with
the American Gas and Electric Company but plans had not been made
complete as yet, he also gave a report on a .tript pertaining to such
interconnection with members of Council to New York & Washington D. C.
After allowing claims in the amount of $ 85,4+56.04 on proper
motion they adjourned.
