AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
EXCEL ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES, INC.
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional environmental services
related to the preparation and submission of a Remedial Action Protectiveness/Biennial
Certification paperwork with regard to Carteret Sewerage Treatment Plant; and
WHEREAS, Excel Environmental Resources, Inc. possesses the requisite knowledge,
training, experience and professional license to provide said services; and has submitted a
proposal to provide said services at a cost not to exceed a total amount of $2,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose. Acct. # 8-01 -20- 165 -2Y+
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret as follows:
The proposal from Excel Environmental Resources, Inc. for
professional environmental services related to the preparation
and submission of Remedial Action Protectiveness/Biennial
Certification paperwork for Carteret Sewerage Treatment Plan
at a total cost not to exceed $2,000.00 at the rate set forth in
Excel Environmental Resources, Inc.'s existing contract with
the Borough is hereby approved.
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(l)(a) in accordance
with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by
law.
4. A copy of this Resolution to be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department and Excel Environmental Resources,
Inc.
