A petition was presented, 3 Igned by E.R.Cates,to construct under private contraet,a Cement sidewalk (5) Feet in width on the north side of his property south West corner lltc and North C street, The Luard grants the san•>, The Board approves the Contract and Lind of Daniel G.Burkhardt for the construction of north 213t street from E to F street as provided for by Improvement Resolution No-132, 1908. A petition was presented from residents of the Fifth Ward of the CSty.asking permission to use the assembly room at No•3 Rose House for the purpose of forming a civic orgdnimation and for a permanent meeting place, awns was granted. The Board unanir..ously adopts Declaratory Resolution No-29-1908& for the vacation of °OaYland Place" between South 6th and 7th streets, from South G street to South H street. The Board unanimously adopts Improvement Resolution No-140-19080 providing for the improvement of south 8th street,from South H street to South J street,by constructing Cement Sidewalks (h) Feet in width on both sides between the points named. The Board orders the brick residence of the IIuperintendent at Glen Miller Park,painted two coats, The Board orders the bill of Ed Decker for painting the smoke stack at Municipal Light Plant (as per contract) paid. Pursuant to an Ordinance of the City of Richmond,Indlana, passed by the Common Council February•3rd,1908, approved by the Mayor February 13th 1908 requiring all Telegraph ,Tolophono, street railway,Interurban railway and. Light Heat and Power companies andall oti-er co antes.persons or firms,htweenaving the right to use Main street of'psaid 'city of Rlchraond between 2nd and 21st streets of said city, prior to the first day of June 1908, to remove all wuuden poles now standing in said strPett and to place all wires now sus ended to such poles in and alOng said Main street, and placed in underground conduits along aald Main street, The Central Union Telephone Company submitted to the Board of Public Works and City Civiwl Engineer for approval, detail plans for such undergroundconstruction ,wnich the Board placed on ' of the Cit'.
