A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXTEND THE ST. FRANCIS MEDICAL CENTER
LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR THE USE OF CITY OWNED PARKING FACILITY AND
SPACES ON A MONTH -TO -MONTH BASIS UNTIL STAFF HAS NEGOTIATED
TERMS FOR A NEW AGREEMENT AND IT IS BROUGHT BACK TO COUNCIL FOR
CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, on December 20, 2011, City Council authorized the execution of a
License Agreement between the City and St. Francis Medical Center for the use of City
owned parking facility and spaces; and
WHEREAS, the agreement is set to expire on November 30, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Public Relations staff is working with St. Francis Medical Center to
negotiate the terms of a new agreement; and
WHEREAS, staff is seeking Council's approval to extend the current license
agreement on a month -to -month basis at a rate of $5,000 until a new agreement is
brought back to Council for consideration.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council authorizes the Mayor to enter into a month -to-
month agreement with St. Francis Medical Center at a rate of $5,000 per month until a
new agreement has been negotiated.
Section 2. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of November, 2014.
