The Board instructs the superintendent of Streets to ordor.8,
•Peerless° Hand Sweepers, at $75.00 each, for use on paved Stroet,
The Foards awards the contract for making a wagon for the use of
the Municipal Electric Lighting and Power Plant as per Specifica-
tions Submitted by Myers & Parke, to said hlyers & Parke at their
bid of $1:;0.00.
A petition was presented for the location of Fire Hydrants as
follows, one at or near the corner of N. W. 4th Street and Rail-
road Street, one at or near the corner of 11. W. 5th and Chestnut
Street, and one at or near the corner of N. W. 5th Street and
Railroad Street. Same was taken under advisement.

The following pruceedings were had to -wit: -
Board moats to hear all persons Interested or whose prop;rty
is affected by the following described public improvem^.nt:
Improvement Resulution No.144-1908, providing for the construction,
of a sewer in Railroad street, from ;forth 16th street to alley
between North 18th and 19th streets, and In alley between "orth 18t:.
and 19th streets, from Railroad street to a point about.31' feet soutt.
and in alley bet,ve ;n North 17th and 18th streets, from Railroad
street to a point about 27.5 feet south, after hearing all parsons who
appeared, and being fully a(lV13ed in the premises, the Board decides
that the benifits to property liable to be assessed for said
iClprovement are equal to the estimated cost of the same as reported
by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said
resolution as originally adopted, the same being confirmed by a
unanimous voto oi' the Board .rithout modification,
Thn Board approves the bond and contract or Laniel G.Burkhardt
providing for the improvement of Main street, from First street ;cast
to the oast end of the Clain street bridge, by constructing Cement
sidewalk and Cement curb and gutter on the Soutar side thereof, as III
provided for by Improvement Resolution tio.146-1908.
